Laws are not optional. They must be obeyed. Definition of criminal law- a system of law concerned with the punishment of those who commit crimes.
Criminal law is public law passed by the federal, state, or local government. It restricts or requires affirmative conduct of its citizens under the threat of prosecution. International Court of Justice powers- The International Court of Justice (ICJ) is the principal judicial organ of the UN. The Court has Two Functions: To settle, in accordance with international law, legal disputes submitted by States , To give advisory opinions on legal questions referred to it by authorized UN organs and specialized agencies. Sources of international law- The main sources of international law are treaty law, international customary law and general principles of law recognised by civilised nations. U.N. membership- Various major legal systems in the world- There are generally considered to be five legal systems in the world today: civil law, common law, customary law, religious law, and mixed legal systems. International contracts for the sale of goods provisions- The purpose of the CISG is to provide a uniform, modern, and fair regime for the international sale of goods contract.
