In 1940, Nelson began to look for more ways on how he could spend more time with his family, he was much concerned about his two growing sons. Apart from the band appearances, Nelson and Harriet had been regulars on the radio show that was hosted by Red skeleton. 5 OZZIE NELSON of Ozzie and Harriet’. In 1944, the whole show went on air with their sons played by actors, this continued until the end of 1949. Fortunately, the show moved over to television in 1952. The entire family was starred in the television show and the whole United states of America were able to watch the two couples raise their boys. The television episode continued until 1966 when it was last aired. Interestingly Nelson acted as the producer and director of most of the episodes that were being aired where he also had a chance to co-write most of them. Nelson’s brother Don Nelson, also featured as one of the writers. Ozzie nelson was a very hand-on individual who was mainly involved in each and every aspect that was attached to both the radio and television programs. On June 9 th 1957, Ozzie appeared as one of the guest panelists, episode of ‘what’s my line’. Nelson gained popularity across large regions. He was known all over the united states and one could easily identify him with most of the songs that he produced. Besides, most of his television shows were valued much by most of the American people who had young families. According to research, a good number of the Americans in the early days could not go without watching the television shows that were hosted by Nelson since they had a lot to benefit from. He became one of the most definitive pop culture singers among many musicians in the united states. He was a likable character who was only rivaled by an individual by the name Hugh Beaumont together with Fred MacMurry. By that time, his musical career had been totally forgotten by the public, it was then eclipsed by the rock and roll Success that was mainly attached to his son. His television persona had actually emerged as a touchstone. Nelson also wrote, produced and even directed a certain movie which was best known as love and kisses which majorly starred Ricky Nelson together with his wife.
