Monitoring Project Risk- Monitor risks is the process of adhering to the risk response plan of tracking identfed risks, identfying new risks, monitoring residual risks and evaluatng the efectveness of the risk response process throughout the project- Many unantcipated risks may materialise, this could partly be due to poor or incomplete risk planning- 2 Categories of project management methods can help to deal with previously unidentfedrisks- First the project team may recognise that unknown risks may surface and they may add a contngency reserve of tme, budget and other resources to cover these unknown- The second method includes a number of good practces that project managers ofen employ anyway, These practces can be classifed according to whether the project team hasfull, partal or no control over the events Implement Risk Responses- The process where when a risk event occurs or is likely to occur soon, the person assigned to that risk executes the strategy identfed in the risk management planManage Communicatons - All the work connected with the project communicatons plan- This includes determining project informaton needs and establishing an informaton system Collect informaton on executed work and work in progress- Project managers gather data on the work they have authorised so they can understand the progress being made- A project manager may try to gather data to answer the following questons- How much more money will need to be spent to fnish?- To what extent does the quality of this work meet requirements?- What methods have we used that are worth repeatng?Report performance- Includes gathering work performance data and using it to create work performance informaton and reports- Work performance informaton is the performance data collected from these processes, analysed in context, and then integrated- Work performance reports are the compilaton of work performance informaton in some physical or electronic form that are presented as project documents intended to generate awareness, discussions, decision making or other suitable actons
