Something also beneficial to Americans through the reform is that it requires insurance companies to keep affordable monthly premiums available to everyone. People can receive healthcare coverage whether they work part-time, full-time, minimum wage, or even salary. Insurance companies are still able to provide insurance to individual consumers without the risk of going out of business. There are also a few facts that could be considered negative about the Healthcare Reform. The main thing that many Americans have not agreed with is the tax penalty. If you do not have health insurance in a given year, there is a penalty of a certain percent of your income that will be taken from the yearly income taxes that will not be returned. As more and more patients become active in the system, there is going to be more paperwork, disease management, and more employees needed to oversee Medicare.
