In the space below, describe your plan for observing a nurse leader in your organization as the leader is engaged in leadership tasks. First, schedule an interview with the nurse leader ( at least two levels above your current position) and record that date and time. Include descriptions of activities, your expected roles or behaviors as an observer or participant, and schedules of the activities. Explain the types of things you will be looking for and how you will record your observations. (Space will expand as you type.) Please remember to send a thank-you note to the nurse leader you interview. I plan to shadow my clinical nurse manager on Monday 11/26/18 starting at 0900. I plan to attend the morning call meeting with her. This involves very unit in the hospital to discuss over night events and concerns for the present day. People either represent in person or through a conference call. Next, we will attend the patient flow council meeting that audits the time that it takes to transfer from the emergency room to the ICU or the ICU to the floor units. This has been an on-going problem and can cause a delay in care. There will be a simulation lab that we will attend. The specific simulation is not known at this time. We will be learning some of the new devices that the hospital has acquired. We will learn how to go back to our unit and teach bedside
