just because that’s what the parents want for their child doesn’t mean that’s what the child want for their self. It states in the book that “Any irreversible surgical intervention, they said, must be delayed until the children were old enough to know, and be able to articulate, which gender they felt closest to” (Colapinto 210). I fully agree with that because people grow up and things change. People want different things for their lives than others may want. Individuals are their own person and do their own things whether good or bad, whether others agree with them or not. Each individual should be given the opportunity to decide what gender they feel closest to and no one else should ever be allowed to make a decision for another individual. After all of Money’s hard work of trying to make David and his family suffer and after trying to make things go his way it turned out to be a fail. Even through having David’s parents brainwashed for so long and even having David a little brainwashed as well nothing turned out in his favor permanently. Agreeing with Money decisions for their child turned out to be a waste of time to David’s parents, because what they tried to make him be is not what he wanted to be. David went to Brenda to go back to David because that’s who he was, who he wanted to be and the gender he felt closet too.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
