allowed them to see not only good, but evil. This changed the relationship between human and God and tainted it to never be the same again. This wasn't something that God wanted or chose. It was the choice of the first humans. This was the fall of humanity and it separated them from the love and closeness that once was between God and us. This caused a loss, a void, and a loneliness that equaled more suffering that wasn't present before. “Suffering will come to every person in this fallen world no matter who they are. Even Jesus suffered.” (Sharpe, Jonathan, 2014) The act of suffering though can actually bring us back to God. It allows us to surrender to him through faith and put our trust in his holiness. Then through the act of accepting Jesus into our hearts and asking God's forgiveness for our sins we good will be revealed to us in the end. Our struggles and suffering helps God to shape us more in his likeness and gets us ready for eternal life. 4.Imagine that a close friend has just suffered through a great personal loss (death of a loved one, natural disaster, disease, job loss, divorce, or a broken relationship) and your friend asks you why God would let such a terrible thing happen. How would you respond to your friend? 5.How might the problem of evil and suffering lead one to the conclusion that absolutes exist?
