Individual Project 4 4 Architects and contractors could highly benefit from augmented reality as it would allow them to design and build homes without spending any money on materials. An architect could create a digital blueprint that could show all the details of the final project and this would assist the contractors in building it as precisely as the blueprint depicts. This would minimize any mistakes that could happen because of inaccurate measurements or overlooked manmade errors. Chapter 11; Flash Crash: Machines Gone Wild: 1. Describe the conditions that preceded the Flash Crash. Prior to the Flash Crash occurring, one mutual fund group put a large sell order through that is usually completed over a number of hours. But in this situation, the order was put through in 20 minutes, causing the instability and spike in the stock market. This caused the market to drop down by almost 1,000 points, leading to a 9.2 percent drop from the original stock value. 2. What are some of the benefits of electronic trading? Electronic trading is usually more accurate than manual trading, as it is more tightly governed. The cost of electronic trading is also lower because the middle man is essentially cut out of the process. All trading is done without an intermediary. It is also much more convenient than traditional trading. All options are available to the user through their computers – there is no need to call brokers to explain the next move. 3. What features of electronic trading and automated trading programs contributed to the crash?
