2. The right of “every family to a decent home” has certainly not been secured yet, as there are over half a million homeless people in America today. Also the “right to earn enough to provide adequate food and clothing and recreation” has not been secured, as there are many people who have jobs, yet still don’t have enough to afford a home with the ever growing rates on houses. Most millennials now a days either live with their parents, in a small apartment the size of a closet, or are homeless. This has occurred especially in Los Angeles and New York where living expenses have skyrocketed. This should be secured, as people should have the right to live every day without having to worry if they’ll make enough to provide food on the table; it

shouldn’t be a privilege to have 3 meals of food a day. 3. Democracy is the system of government in which everyone has a voice. In a democracy, the people who are governed and the ones who govern are not different in stature. In America, if you’re a citizen of the United States and are over the age of 18, then you’re qualified to vote. The citizens put their faith in the President to uphold the rights of the citizens. If the citizens’ individual rights are secured, then democracy can safely occur without needing fear of a dictatorship forming. This is how democracy ensures security, which in turn ensures democracy. As FDR once said, “one supreme objective for the future….can be summed up in one word: Security.”

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
