highest aspects. This is showed best in “Utopia” through the society described by Rafael Hythloday. The Utopians have a great social order, righteous moral justice, and overall glory because they hold values such as a sense of morality and equality so high. Even the officials within the society that should obtain a sense of power are not superior to any member within the society. This is shown because the priests are held at the highest moral caliber but hold no power or dominance over any other member of the Utopian society because every members job shares the same importance no matter the occupation.

Since the presence of power is removed from the Utopian society, equality and morality flourish as the main values of importance among their people. When an emphasis on power in any form presents itself in an environment, the senses of morality and equality become extinct. These themes are shown often throughout various texts this semester including “The Iliad”, “The Declaration of Independence”, and Utopia” as well as non-course movies such as “Dazed and Confused.” In conclusion, when one exists the other cannot. This refers to the themes discussed in my argument such as the relation of power to equality and morality.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
