patients. The cost of healthcare is only going to increase in the next five years which means that we will be spending more than other developed countries. The administrators and leaders will have to find other ways to combat the rising cost of healthcare. They will have to find funding and grants that will aid in the healthcare cost as they continue to rise. When it comes to medical technology there will be an increase in changes, especially when it comes to in office appointments. More technology changes could lead to more in the future, we could eventually see that there are more virtual screenings in place of traditional office visits. These changes could be beneficial when it comes to common illnesses such as pink eye or common cold. While these changes could be beneficial for the patients it will also mean that the

HCM 400 Final Project administrators will need to find better ways to ensure patient confidentiality as well as keeping the patients information and data private. When it comes to education and training, administrators will need to make some changes and enable the healthcare staff to understand that patients will be more involved in their healthcare and makes sure that the staff understand how to have a more hands off approach while also providing the best care possible. C. Opportunities The organization that I have chosen to focus on for this project is Banner Health. Banner Health is located in 6 states including Colorado, California, Nevada, Nebraska, and Wyoming but is based out of Arizona. They currently operate 28 hospitals and several specialized facilities as well. Banner Health strives to meet everyone’s healthcare needs no matter what age; their mission is “making health care easier, so life can be better” (About Banner Health). Banner Health believes “patients should have accurate and easy-to-understand information to make the best health care decisions for themselves and their families” (About Banner Health). As mentioned before, there are multiple forces that affect the healthcare system as well as the delivery of the care that is provided be each staff member in the healthcare facilities. I believe that our organization has many opportunities that we can benefit from but these opportunities could possibly affect the bigger picture of healthcare and the forces that play a part in the delivery of care. There are six forces that are transforming the healthcare industry today: dissatisfied customers, increased cost sharing, prescription costs rising, healthcare complexity, access and digital transformation, and healthcare reform (Brook & Spigit, 2016). Out of the six forces, I believe that the four that are the most prudent to address are dissatisfied customers, prescription drug costs, medical debt and digital transformation. The six forces are interlaced

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
