Which I thought was meaningful and how positive and confident they were about there school culture and what they bring to the school environment as a new principal and Science teacher When speaking with Mr. Breland about ABA he mentioned the special education classes on his campus for Autism students called the Leap program. That all schools should be integrated like this with the support staff such as the Behavior technicians. There are other campuses within his school district that offer services to emotionally disturbed, severely handicapped and adult transition that all follow the ABA therapy for the students.
ABA in public schools ABA in Los Arboles Middle School we have a special education program called LEAP that is for students with autism and communication disorders. It provides ongoing, direct social skills instruction, curriculum adaptations and modifications, behavioral support and highly trained staff. The Instructional options are individualized and may include: special day class, general education mainstreaming with support for mastery of academic content, or general education inclusion with support for social exposure and modeling with peers.
