Delphi Technique The company’s managers canvased opinions and reached a consensus on the three main agendas on how to make the firm successful in the industry. By using the Delphi Method, the company executives invited the top 100 individuals in the firm to participate. A questionnaire was created to ask the participants to rate the three options to reach the desired goal ( Saaty and Peniwati, 2013). Because there were three questions, the participants were allowed to assign points between 3 and 1 for every option, with 1 being the least important and 3 the most important. Most of the participants commented that the online marketing would result in business success with expansion and incorporation of a new partner trailing. The questionnaire rounds were several and all believed that all of them were critical in guaranteeing the company’s future success. Effectiveness of Group Decision Making Techniques Size According to Osmani (2016), size is a vital aspect in groups and it is the key to reaching a consensus. Reaching agreements is easy in small groups while it is problematic for large groups with more than 12 members. In the case of Plastic and Reconstructive Corp, the decision-making techniques stimulated competitiveness among members, which increased their commitment. This translated into hard working thereby resulting in better outcomes for the group. However, there were signs of social loafing” but the managers worked hard to ensure there was good coordination among members. Communication Communication is integral to group decision-making. The managers where aware if the significance of communication, which was typified by the creation of communication channels

Group Decision Making 3 and frequent inter-group interactions. In particular, the firm used a centralised communication network, which led to faster and seamless transfer of decisions. Members were also given the o pportunity to express new ideas freely – this made them content and satisfied during the process.
