I am pleasantly surprised at how busy this particular Starbucks is at this time of day on a Sunday evening. Perhaps people are taking this day extra slow knowing that tomorrow is president’s day and many people are lucky enough to have the day off. Behind to my right there is a couple, each of them are sitting in their own armchairs. The woman is reading while the man in his soccer jersey, is working on his computer. The way that they are sitting together but doing separate activities leads me to believe that they are very comfortable with each other, they spend time together while in a way also have personal time. Behind me to my left there is a family of three. They been in here for awhile, since before I’ve arrived and as I listen I hear them talking about their up coming vacation that they will be taking to Florida. They plan on visiting Walt Disney World, Universal studios and the Everglades. This I am quite jealous of. I would love to take a trip with my family like that. The parents and their daughter, are sitting very close together and laughing, that makes me happy because it reminds me of my parents and I. As I sit here in this one Starbucks out of hundreds all over the country I am amazed by how much is going on around me. So many people living so many unique lives all gathered here in this moment at this place in one small building in one small town.
