How do community classification systems work, and what is their impact on probation supervision? There are risk assessments that could predict the chance of an offender committing new crimes. These assessments can be used to see what level of supervision an offender will need to receive from the community. What is an economic sanction? An economic sanction is another word for fines. Differentiate between offender restitution and victim compensation programs. Offender restitution is where the offender has to repay society for their wrongdoings. Victim compensation programs is where the offender is ordered to repay their victims directly for the harm they have caused. What is asset forfeiture and why can it be called an economic sanction? Asset forfeiture is an approved government seizure of all money and items of value that were obtained through illegal activities. It can be called economic sanction as assets are seized they can be auctioned and proceeds are to be split between the agencies that participated in the investigation that led to the search and seizure. Describe the results of evaluations regarding intensive supervised probation. Intensive supervised probation was started to up the amount of supervision for certain felony offenders who are ordered probation but are not a risk to the community. How is electronic monitoring used to enforce the requirements of house arrest?

PROBATION 5 Electronic monitoring is used to enforce offenders to wear an ankle bracelet that monitor their whereabouts. The anklet is used as a receiver for a radio wave sent to a transmitter box inside the offenders home.
