Through two different types of regret, in determinism, you can only regret the way the world is predestined in existence. Free Will regret entails remorse for corrupt behavior. The third reduction involves determinist regret to optimism. Man cannot regret any other outcomes because they simply could not be brought into reality. 4Learning about each intensive philosopher, it is hard to come to an exact conclusion about my own opinions. For James to be humble enough to take in account the reasoning for hard determinist proves his abundance of an open thinker. From his very own standpoint, I feel as though his argument works. Though I may not agree totally on his viewings, he brings out several facotrs on free will existing and many ubsertities on hard determinism. If God is all good and is the creator of all things that exist, then evil does not exist. What we consider evil is really God’s plan. Evil is necessary for goodness becuase evil can only exist through the thought that goodness was in place. It is necessary He becomes an essential attribute of goodness, therefore there is no evil. 54In-class notes 5In-class notes
