because even though the patient loses some weight and changes there diet the blood pressure is still high. This would be a null hypothesis because the two variables didn’t have anything to do with each other. This is when the patient may need blood pressure medications. Reference Ambrose, J. (2018). Applied Statics for Health Care. Retrieved from Evaluate and provide examples of how hypothesis testing and confidence intervals are used together in health care research. Provide a workplace example that illustrates your ideas. The hypothesis is the question that the researcher wants to answer. In health care there are lots of hypothesis made about patients and lots of data collected to determine if these hypothesizes are right. This can also be used to see if there is a correlation between two variables or not. “The confidence interval (CI) is an interval estimate for the mean. It is a range of values that are set close to the mean either in a positive or negative direction” (Ambrose, 2018). The confidence interval helps with rejecting the null hypothesis and determining if the hypothesis is true and the amount of error that might be involved. Evidence based practice is an example of hypothesis testing and confidence intervals. There is a lot of research that goes into what is the best practice for the patient and how to get the best patient outcomes. Data must be collected, and a hypothesis must be made and then tested. Confidence Intervals would then determine if the hypothesis is true or false. Reference Ambrose, J. (2018). Applied Statics for Health Care. Retrieved from

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
