Group Presentations/Papers You have the option of working by yourself or in groups of MAXIMUM 3 people. Each group will give a short presentation to the class on a topic in psychology that you find interesting. You are expected to present the different perspectives related to your topic. Each presentation should not exceed 10 minutes in length . A short, typed paper (3-5 pages) highlighting your topic should also be turned in the day of your presentation. One paper per group is acceptable. General Requirements of the Paper: 1) Your paper should be approximately 3-5 pages (double spaced, 12-point font, 1-inch margins). Please submit a paper copy in the beginning of the class period. 2) You must have at least 3 references in addition to your textbook. 3) Late Policy: 5 points will be deducted every day the paper is past the due date. Exams The midterm and final exams will cover material from lectures, readings, and audio/video examples. They will be in multiple-choice format. Each exam will be out of 100 points and attendance is mandatory for all exams. A make-up exam will only be provided if the student contacts me prior to the exam date and presents a valid, unavoidable excuse with appropriate documentation. Attendance Policy Attendance at all class meetings is strongly encouraged. If you are absent from class, you are still responsible for turning in any assignments that might be due.
