the moment the scandal was going on. It does not seem that they provided any guidance to Whitney Houston on how to get help not only with the physical and emotional abuse, but also with trying to stop her drug addiction. She did not only think she was addicted to drugs; she claimed to be addicted to Bobby Brown. When they were being interviewed, no information seemed to be given to Bobby Brown either for learning how to control his anger and taking it up on Whitney Houston. With the question "how many friends or neighbors know" (Weller, 2009), after their private lives were broadcasted on social media, family members of both the abuser and the victim definitely knew what was going on. With this scandal being public, members of both sides of the families could have reached out and helped before things got to where they did. Unfortunately none of this information is made clear on whether or not intervention was provided in this article.
