When a team member role-plays, another team member or colleague can always throw any number of situations at them and, as such, the technique offers a safe environment to encounter such scenarios for the first time, consequently; this develops confidence in team members or group of employees that can help them in their daily roles. Ultimately, this will help reduce the turnover rate among the cashiers.

Additionally, the role-playing technique will help prepare employees for scenarios that occur in real life or real workplace. The essential functions of the cashier encompass performing for or working directly with the public, establishing and maintaining interpersonal relationships, getting information, procession information, etc. In this regard, role-playing will ensure that the trainees are well-equipped with the skills to perform these functions effectively. The approach does not only offer a glimpse of the situations that the cashiers may encounter, but will also ensure that the participants receive feedback on how they have performed.
