Treatment: Prescribe Amoxicillin 500 mg 3 x per day for 14-21 days (CDC, 2017).Education: During the exam, D.M. was screened for depression and educated on daily exercise atleast 30 mins 3-4 times for week. Provide D.M. with education on a well-balanced diet and following the entire course of antibiotics to prevent resistance. Teach D.M. on how to remove thetick if this were to happen again, such as using a tweezer and pulling upward to remove the whole tick. After removing the tick, D.M. was instructed to thoroughly clean the area and dispose of live tick by submersing it in alcohol and flush it down the toilet.
Consultation: ImmunologistFollow up: Upon completion of antibiotics, D.M. is to come back for assessment of s/s.
