points from the straight line. This could have to do with the data points from our second case not being completely accurate to the theoretical value because the wire did not fully recover. If the wire was twice as thick, the data points would be smaller because compared to the thickness of the wire, the force would not change, thus causing less

elasticity to the wire. It would be half the measurements from the previous wire. The difference is significant because when the original data is measured, it can then be compared to what changed after the experiment was over. The beginning conditions should always be recorded to show even a slight change from the final outcome. 5. Conclusion: After doing the experimenting and testing the wire’s elasticity, Young’s Modulus has held up to its test. The wire did not go past the elastic limit thus allowing it to come back to mostly its original length. Testing the stress on the wire and the strain it caused showed the accuracy of Young’s Modulus on deformation and how if a substance doesn’t pass the elastic limit, it will return to its original form.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
