94% of women who are raped experience symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder ( PTSD) during the two weeks following the rape” (Rain 25, 2019). On that note, society blames it on the victims because that people was too drunk, or they were flirting, or because what they were wearing at the time. It effects on a macro level because on average 321,500 victims (who are 12 years or older) of rape and or sexual assault each year in the United States 1
( Rain 25, 2019). That is 1 of every six women would are raped. That is really scary to even think of because it happens pretty often. Over the past decades and even years, the solutions to rape have become more taken serious. The solution of this deviance has been taking to legal issues and courtrooms ( Adams, 1993 ). I do feel like it is the same trying to get justice because people will not believe you and he may get let loose. The legal system does not always give justice. This is why most women will not say anything, they do not want to be mocked. Also society can enforce more security and cops to help minimize this act ( Adams, 1993 ). This should be taught and encourage not to do, and instead of blaming it on the victims.
