Carbon dioxide record is unambiguous; different temperature series are now in close agreement. Conclusions: Recall our hypothesis: o Global warming is primarily caused by an enhanced greenhouse effect due to rising atmospheric concentrations of greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide and methane. Carbon dioxide concentrations are higher now than at any time in the past 400,000 years. Average temperatures today are slightly below the peaks observed in several past inter- glacial phases. Greenhouse gases and global temperature changes are linked. Current trends could lead to further temperature increases and changes in climate. However, the strength of that link remains uncertain. o How strong are the different feedback mechanisms? o Why are temperatures increasing slowly when the carbon dioxide concentration has increased so much? What Can (Should) We Do? Can we do anything? o What is causing the CO 2 / temperature increases? If natural variation then we can do nothing but adapts. If anthropogenic (human-induced), then prudence suggest we should do something….

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
