It is the process by which an individual offers guidance to the team and supports them in the goal achievement process and help the followers in realising their potential. Leadership is an important function in the organisation since it defines the common goals to be achieved and acts as a cohesive force to develop team support so that the team can collectively work together identifying their potential and contribute to the achievement. Effective leadership shows the direction and the right way to the team members. It creates a vision of the goal to be achieved so that the followers are motivated and can understand their roles in the task or activity. b) The styles between Zoran and Adam are different as Zoran is a task oriented manager whereas Adam is a people oriented manager. Task oriented leaders are mostly autocratic and focused on the task at hand while people oriented leader are democratic as they interact with people and value their participation at work. Zoran does not like to be part of meetings or interact much with the team while Adam is a people oriented person who likes to interact with the team. c) People oriented leadership style is more appropriate style given the organisation's commitment to a team approach.
