Comparing both Companies Performance: Ratios: Based on Nikes ratios the net profit margin and ROE has been improving; however, Jc Penny’s Profit Margin and ROE has been gradually decreasing over the five-year life span. Z-score: Jc Penny Z-score the results show that they have a high chance of Bankruptcy since the result of their Z-score is the bellow 1.81. Nike Inc a multibillion dollar company has no financial distress since their Z-score are above 2.675 C common Size Financial Statements: Jc. Penny Financial Statements shows that they have not been generating enough revenue to stay afloat which explains why they have been closing numerous store across the nation. Nike Inc. on the other hand shows that their income has been consistent through the five year span which in conclusion states that they are doing well and are on tract to generate more revenue in the near future\. Conclusion: Nike, Inc performs much more better than Jc. Penny based on all the data we have calculated and evaluated.
