4. Visitation Powers – the Screening Committee of the Sangguniang Barangay for NGOs and POs Accreditation shall conduct random visitation and/or inspection of the official business address of the registered NGOs and POs purposely toverify, monitor, or check the status of the operations of the same. 5. Functions: a. Facilitate and enforce approved policies and requirements in the application and subsequent accreditation. b. Effective Information dissemination campaign for the awareness of the public. c. Formulate a comprehensive and integrated program and support for the duly registered and operating NGOs and POs in the barangay. d. Coordinate the implementation of City’s programs. e. Formulate a comprehensive program to protect and maintain peace and order to ensure the progressive operations of NGOs and POs. f. Encourage the formulation of federations and cooperation between and among the groups. g. Submit an annual inventory report and master list of active NGOs and POs to the SangguniangPanlungsod 6. Procedures/Guidelines for Accreditation: a. Submit requisite documents b. Sangguniang Barangay ( SB) shall endorse and/or transmit the documents to the screening Committee on Accreditation. c. Screening Committee (SC ) shall assess, screen, and validate the documents, and if found to have conformed and/or complied with the requirements, shall recommend to the SB the approval and/or grant of Barangay Accreditation. d. Upon favorable recommendation by the SC on Accreditation, the SB shall approve the application and subsequently pass a Barangay Resolution granting accreditation thereto and issue a Certificate of Accreditation to the concerned NGO and PO. The SB may also disapprove and deny the grant of accreditation depending on the recommendation of the Screening Committee on Accreditation.
