Fast tracking any project can lead to a multitude of problems, especially if the team does not have sufficient resources and a credible management team to meet each assigned targets expertly and progressively move the project forward to the finishing point. The only real advantage to fast- tracking a project is that it will be completed early or meet its deadline. However, you risk the
chance of having ineffective processes which may send you back to the planning stage of the project. The disadvantages are fast tracking any project can cause issues such as incomplete project steps, or the project manager may lose project float time. These factors may decrease the quality of the final product, which in hindsight sight may diminish your creditability as a project manager that takes pride in one's work, just remember that attention to the little details go a long way with stakeholders, never cut corners. Be sure to strive and meet your deadlines on time, this will reflect on the project team and its manager in charge from beginning to end.
