4. Explain the governance components of the HCO and provide examples of each in your explanation.  The components of the HCO consist of four different teams; the Caregiving Teams, Clinical  Support Teams, Logistic Support Teams, and Strategic Support Teams.  The Caregiving Teams is  backed by three levels of support, which are clinical, logistic, back the Caregiving teams and  strategic that is composed of specialized teams.  Each patient care team performs an activity that  is essential to a specific group of patients and each support team performs an activity that is  essential to the work of some or all-patient care teams.  The Caregiving Teams provide care to patients with similar needs such as primary care,  pediatrics, acute care, rehabilitation, home care etc.  The Clinical Support Teams provide specific  care services to Caregiving teams such as clinical laboratories, pharmacy, imaging,  cardiopulmonary lab, surgery, anesthesia, recovery intensive care, physical therapy, and social  service.   Logistic Teams provide trained personnel, information, facilities, accounting, cash  management, and supplies.  The strategic Support Teams provide marketing, governance,  internal consulting, finance, stakeholder relations, and strategic position.  They protect HCO's  culture and tangible resources. 5. Is the best mission for a hospital “excellent in patient care” or a “healthy community”?  Support your answer. I would argue that the best mission for a hospital has to incorporate both with a  strong emphasis in excellent patient care.  Community health focuses on disease  prevention and health promotion of the community while “excellence in care” is  limited to selected parts of the care spectrum, usually those associated with  acute treatment and rehabilitation.  Hospitals are always looking to manage costs

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
