the nerve to come to our doorstep and complain about my dog. If it wasn’t for them, Buddy would have never been gone. My dad finally gave up on Buddy; he got sent away right before the eighth grade started. I always thought to myself, I could have done better, or maybe if I spent a little more time with him, everything would be different. I wondered if he thought that it was his fault. This tragedy occurred because I was too eager to get what I wanted. If I waited just a little bit longer, I would not have had to go through this unbearable misery and Buddy wouldn’t have to go through the pain of being separated with his family. I feel guilty and cried nonstop after I got back from giving Buddy away. My dad was furious. He shouted, “What’s done is done.” He backed out from his promise and made me go through this pain. Even though I’m healing over time, I would never be able to trust him like I did before. As I obsessed over this tragedy for the next few days, my dad got really annoyed. I retold the story over and over again so that he would feel guilty for putting me through this pain. ~ Not this story again. Maybe if I ignored Susan, she would not go on and on with her talking. I just wanted her to be able to fully understand her own culture. Is that too much to ask for? “Dad, if you did not back out from your promise, this would of never happened!” Susan complained to me. I thought the dog was just a motivation. I never thought that she would actually be able to read that many words in three months. I had never seen anyone do such a remarkable thing. Learning six years worth of Chinese in three month was like seeing pigs fly.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
