Reader want to read my assignment and keep them

reader want to read my assignment and keep them engaged in every paragraph. The di²erence between a discussion post and writing a paper to me would be that one is morepersonal and the other is more of formal writing. Now, writing a paper should be very formal. Ilearned when you’re writing a paper you should be using formal vocabulary and stay away fromusing contractions. For example, instead of using the word “don’t”, you should be using the fullform of the word and use “do not”. Also, your writing should not be personal; leave the ³rst-person pronouns out of your paper. The di²erence between writing an initial discussion postand response to one of my colleagues is that I CAN be personal with them. I can assess theirwork with no judgment of how they wrote it because it is a discussion. The point of a discussionis to talk about a topic and exchange bene³cial ideas and tips to one another.378 words.379 wordsPermalink | Show parent | ReplyRe: Discussion Week 2by Xavier Boucher - Thursday, 25 April 2019, 2:46 AMNyssa, I am surprised by your issues with grammar, considering your post is so well developed. You have done an excellent job of communicating your points to us. I would like to contest oneidea however. The idea that we are a math person, or a writer, an artist or an engineer. We are acollective of our life experiences and histories. Believing you are not good at grammar can in factreinforce that in your mind (Anderson 2015). Three years ago I started running. I neverconsidered myself a runner, but when I started to do it daily, I changed my mind and started torefer to myself as an athlete. With that change in mindset I started making progress I couldn'thave imagined.References:Anderson, A. R. (2015, Jan 20). Never Say Anything About Yourself That You Don't Want To ComeTrue. Re: Discussion Week 2by Xavier Boucher - Thursday, 25 April 2019, 2:27 AMStephanie, you have made some good points. My favorite was how you said you wanted to takea tone of sincerity. That you want everyone to know that we are all the same. This is a greatreminder for us all. "Don't Judge the person" (UoPeople 2017, p 5). We are all new to this andanxious about doing a good job. We also want to ensure that we can provide insight to theconversation.References:UoPeople (December 2017) A good practice guide to providing quality feedback. Sometimes we have to leave it alone and just letour subconscious do the work. Resting the brain and allowing it to make the importantconnections that it needs to is a very important part of the strategy. Einstein, Dali, and evenAristotle were very aware of the need for resting on your big ideas (Baer 2013).
