Falsifying, Concealing or Tampering withVessel Markings, Identity or Registration. – It shall beunlawful for any person to falsify, conceal vessel identityorlackofregistrationortamperwiththevesselmarkings, identity or registration.Upon a summary finding of administrative liability, theoffender shall be imposed the penalty of confiscation ofcatch and suspension or cancellation of license and anadministrative fine of:(1) Ten thousand pesos (P10,000.00) for municipal fishingor community service in case of failure to pay the fine;(2)Onehundredthousandpesos(P100,000.00)forsmall-scale commercial fishing;(3) One million pesos (P1,000,000.00) for medium-scalecommercial fishing; and(4)Fivemillionpesos(P5,000,000.00)forlarge-scalecommercial fishing.In case of violation by distant water fishing vessels, theadministrative fine shall be twice the amount indicatedabove.Upon conviction by a court of law, the offender shallsuffer the penalty of imprisonment from two (2) years tosix (6) years and a fine equivalent to twice the amount oftheadministrativefine,confiscationofcatchandsuspension or cancellation of license.Section123.Concealing,TamperingorDisposingofEvidence Relating to an Investigation of a Violation. – Itshall be unlawful for any person to conceal, tamper ordisposeevidencerelatingtoaninvestigationofaviolation.Upon a summary finding of administratively liability, theoffendershallbepunishedwithsuspensionorcancellation of license and an administrative fine of:(1) Ten thousand pesos (P10,000.00) for municipal fishingor community service in case of failure to pay the fine;(2)Onehundredthousandpesos(P100,000.00)forsmall-scale commercial fishing;(3) One million pesos (P1,000,000.00) for medium-scalecommercial fishing; and(4)Fivemillionpesos(P5,000,000.00)forlarge-scalecommercial fishing.In case of violation by distant water fishing vessels, theadministrative fine shall be twice the amount indicatedabove.
