They are the ones who do the interviews of the new applicants and determine if they are right for the job. They play an important role in making sure the organization grows. Employee relations are just as important as the rest of the functions. The department has to deal with all of the issues that pertain to the employees including pay and issues with other employees. Employee relations is the HR discipline concerned with strengthening the employer- employee relationship through measuring job satisfaction, employee engagement and resolving workplace conflict. Employees will come to them with problems that they are having and figure out what the best way to fix it is.
