America as a nation. Rather, it once again demonstrates how Christianity is imposed upon Americans, even though this goes against the true purpose of America which is to have the freedom of religion. Now, in agreement with Christian Americans, in order to maintain religious freedom, certain rights must be enforced for religions along with the legalization of gay marriage. have the right to believe homosexuality is wrong; they just shouldn’t have the right to enforce this belief on others. The validity of love should never be questioned, and marriage should never be denied due to gender. Homosexuality is valid; it is not a phase or an experiment. Gay marriage must be legal and deserves to be recognized as equal to heterosexual marriage. The legalization of gay marriage is not gay privilege, it is simply equality. As Ricky Gervais so clearly stated, “Same sex marriage isn't gay privilege, it's equal rights. Privilege would be something like gay people not paying taxes. Like churches don't”. (Twitter) The world needs more color. Black and white views on love must be a thing of the past. Therefore, to resolve the battle on love, religions must be allowed to maintain their beliefs, but those beliefs must remain within the religion; outside of those beliefs, gay marriage must be accepted as valid and legal across the country. Black and white is an image of the past; it is time to see in color and legalize gay marriage. 1666/1200
