likely attempting to live in social deviance. On a macro level, substance abuse has become tolerated because most government forces believe that it is inevitable in today’s world. On the other hand, I believe that if other, prominent social issues were dealt with properly than this social problem would not be taken so lightly. By allowing social deviance to influence the way in which addiction is handled, the issue has only grown more difficult to change. Likewise, on a micro level, social deviance perpetuates alcohol and substance abuse because society separatesitself from things out of norms. People tend to separate themselves from people who are living in addiction rather than helping eliminate the issue. Because addiction is such a formal and informal act of deviance, people don’t wish to associate themselves with this issue.3.Use the GCU library and identify an actual solution to the problem of social deviance.
