The appreciation may take a form of physical remunerations or merely verbal utterances. In either case, this motivates the team members, equipping them with enthusiasm of performing their tasks in a better way in future.
4.Explain what a Pareto chart is. Why would you use this technique to identify and prioritise problem areas? Are there some limitations on interpreting the results of a Pareto analysis?A Pareto chart is a data presentation technique that uses a chart containing both bars and a line graph,
where individual items are represented by the use of bars which assume a descending order and the cumulative totals represented by the use of a line. This technique is suitable for identifying a problem because it is easy to read and interpret and that its items are ordered systematically from the highest to the lowest. The Pareto analysis could be misleading if applied to some situations. For instance, if a business person uses it to profile his customers based on who brings him more profits, it may end up giving erroneous results. This is because it will show that the clients should be allocated time depending on their financial importance to the enterprise. This may lead to the business losing its low income generating customers, which is a negative implication. Secondly, inaccurate scoring may lead to wrong inferences. For instance, the enterprise owner may identify from the Pareto analysis that there is a delay in publishing of the e-Books in his firm. This may make him focus his attention to the publishers in an acute manner. However, this could not be the real problem, rather,
