BOMBING AT THE BOSTON MARATHON 2commotion and panic among the crowds that were present during this famous marathon. Minuteslater, the sun-filled afternoon was turned into a hell as people scampered for safety. The scene turned into massive bloodshed. Full of chaos and destruction. Sadly, three spectators died at the site, which involved two young women and a boy. Approximately 260 spectators were also injured in the process. Also, sixteen people lost their legs, including a young girl.All the security agencies started their investigations immediately where the Tsarnaev brothers were the main suspects (Cassa et al., 2013). This investigation brought together approximately 100 federal and state law enforcement agencies who worked day and night to ensure that this menace was investigated and culprits punished. These two suspects were arrestedwithin two working days of these agencies. The Federal Bureau of Investigations analysts were able to go through dozens and dozens of videos that were taken during this date from the securitycameras at the area where the major attack happened. This led to the picking point, two male suspects. Later on, the bureau released the images of these two men from the surveillance cameras,and the members of the public were able to identify them successfully. During this investigation, a police officer from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology was shot while he was on patrol. The authorities involved in the inquiry were able to link this attack to the Tsarnaev brothers, whoattempted to steal the officer’s patrol car. After this officer was killed during the attack, the brothers took a Mercedes Suv where they held the victims at gunpoint. One of the hostage takers told the driver of the stolen vehicle that he as one of the bombers of the Boston Marathon. The other suspect followed the brother with a Honda Civic. They together drove their hostages
