1.4 Direct Democracy – Every person votes on everything. People have ultimate voice on everything. No actual direct democracy states. Closet 1 is Switzerland. 1.5 Multi-Party States/Representative Democracy – Power still reside with the people but someone/representative vote for you. Ex: U.S., India, UK, Turkey. 1.6 One – party state (Not really democracy) – there’s only 1 political party. Ex: Egypt (Hosni Mubarak), China (1 communist political party). 1.7 Theocracy – ruled by religion. (theo -religion). Ex: Vatican City, Iran ( Ayatollah, in ultimate control in the contry) 1.8 Monarchy – the most popular political system throughout most of human history all over planet earth. Rule by a single-family line. Ex: King Abdullah (leader of Saudi Arabia) 1.9 Military Government – Military taken over the states by force. Ex: Burma (Than Shwe military leader of Burma) 1.10 Dictatorship – all power for an individual. People that come to power by force usually the military. 1.11 Fascism – all power for 1 person. They are the state. People come to power not by force. Citizens actually like them that give them power. Elected popular. Ex: Fascist Nazi. 1.12 Communism, Direct Democracy, multi-party states/representative democracy: are recently new in the modern era. They evolve from mostly monarchy. 1.13 Consolidated power – forcing a response from people to equalize things more.
