Version A(12) 2. When aluminum nitrate, Al(NO3)3(aq), reacts with sodium carbonate, Na2CO3(aq) in solution, solid aluminum carbonate, Al2(CO3)3(s), precipitates from solution. When 500 mL of 0.40 M Al(NO3)3(aq)is mixed with 800 mL of 0.30 M Na2CO3(aq), then, at the completion of the reaction, calculate: (6) (a) the number of grams of Al2(CO3)3(s)) which will be produced. (6) (b) which reactant, Al(NO3)3(aq) or Na2CO3(aq), is in excess (and remains in solution), and what will be it’s Molar concentration at the conclusion of the reaction.
