simple. The first is a businessman completing a presentation; the others consist of a 2- dimensional graph, a photograph of a designer, and a picture of the Galaxy S III. All of these pictures are simple and don’t distract the user, yet are effective in getting their points across and give the readers visual aids to refer to. On the other hand, Article 2 is much more relaxed. Because this article is geared more towards those who understand and are interested in Samsung and Apple’s rivalry, the author starts off with a humorous picture to show the rival of the two companies. The picture shows Samsung and Apple “dueling” as stated in the title of the article, as they are both holding guns. The other picture is a graph, but unlike Article 1’s graph, this graph is 3-dimensional and colorful. The website in general is more colorful and therefore creates a more relaxed and casual tone. 5. Both articles did a great job at appealing to their specific audiences, but I believe that Article 2 is more effective in meeting the needs of its audience. Though the first article appeals to its users by giving general information, I feel as though the readers can take more away from the second article. After reading Article 2 I had more of an idea of what both businesses were like and what they plan to do in the future. From the first article, I received strictly facts but I didn’t take much away from the article. As a person in the Business Technology field and a lover of Samsung, the second article appealed to me more because it gave insights to the mobile industry and gave me hopes for the future as well.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
