counselor especially in the ethnic and racial differences that lie between them. An essential part  of counseling is that the counselor must educate themselves in how to deal with different cultures that will come into their office, and understand that their ideologies will be on different pages,  but the main goal is to be patient, be positive, and understand that different individuals will take  different periods of time to heal. The counselor must understand that they must have the ability  to better understand the person’s problem because this will truly help the healing process and a  greater bond will be created between the counselor and his or her client. (Hays & Eroford, 2014,  p.20)

Moreover, everyone comes from different background, grows up in different cultures and households, people have different states of mental health, and fall into different statues  depending on their income. Cultural diverse clients may feel as though counseling may not fall  hand-in-hand with the values that their culture holds, and this may scare them off. Going outside  one’s comfort zone is a difficult task for many, especially ones that are already vulnerable and  are in a state of seeing help. Moreover, living in America we are very lucky to have different
