All dictatorships didn’t tolerate dissent in any form; none tolerated free speech, free expression in the arts, free worship of religion, or a free press. In a nutshell, living in one of the totalitarian regimes was a living hell. A hell where you or your family could be rounded up, beaten, tortured, and killed without a shred of evidence or due process. Think about living in a totalitarian society. Based on what you read about totalitarian regimes and what was and wasn’t tolerated, discuss 3 things that would be different about your life compared to now. Write your answer below. 1. My parents wouldn’t be self employed and I am sure my family would stand in a different socio-economic position 2. There would be a lot more strict can and can not dues that were controlled by the government 3. I would assume that my friends, family, or myself would end up dead if we speak negatively of the government and our country. 4. Living under constant fear and complete control 5. Depending on where I am, I would most likely have to hide my religion or may end up dead for it 6. Considering that everyone in my family is an immigrant except my brothers, i am not sure how we would continue living
