takes pride in having “first class training in the use of their systems”, I feel as though the extensive training should be an expectation with only rare exceptions. The data findings also lead me to believe that the staff is not as comfortable with technology and overall tablet use to be able to get by with a simple and cheaper training. I would look to see that more than 50% had used/and or owned a tablet in the past before I would be ready to make that decision. My thinking is that with a simple and less invasive training, customer satisfaction would decrease due to longer wait times and less attentive staff members due to stress surrounding familiarity with the point of sale systems. Because of this predicted outcome, it is likely that staff turnover would be higher and more time and money would have to be spent constantly training new employees.
