Fall” consisted of only 20 discharged participants using a smaller sample size doesn’t give a good representation of the study plus it increases the chances of a Type II error skewing the results of the study (Deziel, 2018). Based on the topic discussed, the use of a larger sample size requires a population distribution of representation. Some studies omitted pertinent information when utilizing their method to gather data that the researcher didn’t view as helpful to the reader, however it may have been helpful in addressing the issue as well as assisted future research studies of the same subject. The articles also use self-reported data which can be limited as it can rarely be independently verified (Boltz, Capezuti, Fulmer, & Zwicker, 2016). Other limitations that were noticed by the author was the researchers did not do follow up on the participants once the research was conducted. Conclusion Literature review supports the EBP project in diverse ways by facilitating the study to collect evidence established on the topic of study. Reviewing literature on patient falls and interventions has paved the way for research studies on sample size, research queries and study
