The brouchure should specify the hotel location and reach from the nearest Airport, Railway station, Highway, Bus stand, etc. Why don’t you collect a few brouchures and analyse them in the light of the above aspects ? Electronic Brochures Apart from the traditional way of promotional tactics that is using the printed material, the trend is to prepare computer-generated brochure, also called electronic brochure. This brochure can be accessed through the hotel’s website and also can be downloaded, whenever required. Brochures may also include plans of the developments, descriptions of new structural addition, floor plans, and location information. One can present food menu and/or wine menu on the particular hotel and restaurant website as a PDF document (or Word document, if you prefer). These brochures can be in the form of executable files. Once downloaded, the browser will ask if you want to save them to disk, or open them directly. When you open the file, the brochure will be displayed on your screen. The brochures have a print option. 1. These features are not usually present in the normal printed brochure. The brochure should contain the USP (unique selling proposition) of the hotel that makes them different from other hotels. Another important aspect is also to portray correct image of the hotel – whether it is the look, the facilities or the promises the hotel makes regarding the services to be given to the guest upon arrival. The hotel should remember that the brochure imprints an image on to the guest’s mind. The contents of the brochure should be backed by actual availability of facilities; otherwise, a great deal of distatisfaction will be generated, which can be detrimental for the hotel’s business. Now you shall do a Practical Exercise illustrating the material discussed above.
