I have been taught that love is an action word and that you chose to love on a dailybasic not when you feel like it! When it comes to servant leadership and love youcannot be a servant leader without the ability to love. When you love those you leadyou will make sure that you are looking out for their best interest at all times. Whenyou love first and love hard the most disgruntle of employees will change their waysand follow you. "Love is the cornerstone of the servant leadership relationship, theGreek term, Agapao, moral love, meaning to do the right thing at the exact right timeand for the right reasons (Patterson, 2003)."If you are lead by love then you are more likely to follow without regrets! Followersdo not care how much know or can teach or can show or even take them, until theyknow how much care (love) about them! Your love would be shown in the form ofhow you interacted with them and how you prepare them physically and mentally aswell how you met their others needs. Leaders who lead with love will have peoplewho will follow them anywhere and are willing to do anything for them, even untodeath in some cases!Patterson, Kathleen. (2003).
