to ask their names and get to know them. In a party setting, the environment is different. It is a time to make merry and have fun, and there is ample time. There are other factors like music, maybe a comedian, plus chances are there will be a few individuals previously known like the host or the person who brought me to the party. In a lift, it was a matter of seconds from one point to the other and high chances are you know nobody in the lift. Hence, the time factor and chances of having or not having a familiar person create total contrasts in the two venues. The environment contributes to this particular trait and not heredity. As expounded above, both places had different environments mitigating my behaviour. One set up is all brief, short-lived and business-like, while the other one is relaxed, relatively long lasting and accompanied by other merry making accompaniments. In conclusion, this is an example of reciprocal determinism. It holds that behaviour is determined by a person depending on the environment through external social stimulus. For this case, I will behave differently in different setting.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
