Section 407.140
Qualifications for Early
Childhood Teachers and
School-age Workers
Must be at least 18
years old and passed
background check.
Must have a high
school diploma or
equivalent certificate
and complete 15 hours
of in-service training.
Must complete
licensing to care for
newborns as well as
SIDS, CPR, AD First Aid
training.
I addition to in-home
qualifications, group
home caregivers
must be at least 21
and achieved 1 year
of credit (30
semester/45 quarter
hours) from an
accredited
college/university, 1
year relevant work
experience and six
semester child
development hours,
or a current Child
Development
Credential.
