NUMBER OF BIKES SOLD (QUOTE) FINANCE: A TYPICAL CLIENT WAS A DAIRY CORPORATIVE- MADE UP OF DOZENS OF FARMERS, FARMERS COULD NOT EASILY AFFORD A BICYCLES SO BB OFFERED FINANCING TO ASSIST WITH PURCHASE A LEADER OF THE CORPORATIVE WOULD MEDIATE PREPERATION OF CONTRACTS THAT WOULD PAY A PORTION OF THE FARMERS SALARY TO BB OTHER MAJOR CLIENTS WERE HUMANITARIAN ORGANIZATIONS- AN EXAMPLE IS CARE INTERNATIONAL WHICH RECEIVED SOME CHARITABLE IN ZAMBIA AND CONTACTED WBR TO BUY MORE NIESWANDER NOTED THAT CHARITABLE BIKES COULD STIMULATE GREATER DEMAND FOR BIKE SALES. QUOTE: “ BB BEST ADVERTISING IS THE WORD OF MOUTH REPUTATION OF A BUFFALO BICYCLE IN THE FIELD” BB SOLD BIKES DIRECTLY THROUGH DEALERS AND RECENTLY THROUGH RETAIL STORES THAT EMPLOYEED HIGHLY TRAINED STAFF QUOTE: “ IT COSTS AN AVERAGE 10,000 USD TO OPEN A STORE AND IT BREAKS EVEN WITHIN 9 MONTHS.”- DAY IN ANOTHER QUOTE: DAY- “ 8-10 STORES PER YEAR” SOME STORES IT WAS HARDER TO BREAK EVEN

PAGE 8: ANSWER TO ONE OF CHALLENGE ?S: ASSEMBLY STOREAGE AND SHIPPING FOR CHARITABLE AND SOCIAL ENTERPRISE BIKES AS WELL WAS TRAINING OF MACHANICS WAS OVERSEEN BY THE CORISPONDING BB DIVISION. BICYCLES CKDS ORDERED FROM GIANT TOOK AN AVERAGE OF 60 DAYS TO PRODUCE AND 30 DAYS TO DELIVER A SINGLE CONTAINER COULD HOLD COMPONENTS FOR 800 BICYCLES CURRENTLY WBR HAD A CONTRACT WITH GIANT FOR UP TO 1 MILLION BIKES PER YEAR. THOUGH HAVING A WELL PREPARED BUSINESS OPERATIONS THE REGION WERE WBR OPERATED WAS COMPLEX AND CHALLENGING. MANY OF THE COUNTRIES IN PORT TAXES WERE AS HIGH AS 25% (CHARITABLE BIKES WERE MOSTLY IMPACTED) ANOTHER CHALLENGE WAS UNSTABLE POLITICAL ENVIRONMENTS (BLOCKAGES OF PORTS AND INTERUPTIONS OF SHIPMENTS AS WELL AS VOLATILITY OF LOCAL CURRENCY) THIS REQUIRED WBR TO HOLD SEVERAL MONTHS INVENTORY VS A MORE EFFECTENT SYSTEM. WITH THE HELP OF BB AND GROWING DONERS WBR EXPANDED RAPIDLY BY 2018: MORE THAN 3092 BIKES HAVE BEEN DISTRUBTED IN 19 COUNTRIES ACROSS AFRICA, SOUTH AMERICA AND FAR EAST ASIA (PRIMARLY ACTIVE IN AFRICA) WBR TRIED TO TRAIN ONE LOCAL BIKE MACHANIC PER 100 BICYCLES DISTRIBUTED BY 2018 THEY HAVE TRAINED MORE THAN 1900 MACHANICS PROBLEMS TO ADDRESS: OPEN AN ASSEMBLY CENTER IN AFRICA

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
