Cancer in Charlotte County Jessica Kight HED 2306 22 September 2018 23. Describe the demographics and behaviors of the residents that live in both Charlotte and Leon County. There are more that live in Charlotte versus Leon based on demographics and I believe that there are in minority living in Charlotte than in Leon as well. 24. Your investigation of both counties revealed some interesting information. From your research to date, what can you conclude about cancer in Charlotte County and what will your report to Gretchen? Are the residents correct in thinking that they have an abnormally high rate of cancer because of environmental contamination? The rate and numbers are exceptionally higher in this county than they are in Leon. Environmental contamination is a huge thing to consider when looking at the numbers and considering the amount of deaths and the placement of the health risks. 25. What are the 5 primary talking points you will convey to the residents of Charlotte County at the town hall meeting about health status, cancer, and preventive health in the community?
